Jap Chae



Jap Chae (Korean stir fried noodles and Vegetables)

Hi everyone!

This is new recipe for me, I learned from my friend Bing  who share with me some of her delicious dish which is Korean stir fried noodles. It is easy to prepare and so delicious. one day, I just tried to cook this dish and am really afraid that my husband will not like it. But, when he taste, he said! ah! so delicious from whom you learn this dish. Am thankful that he like it. In my family everyone like. I know you too will like it. Don't worry one day you can taste all the recipe that I'm trying to experiment and I almost posted all my favorite recipe in this site. Thanks for reading.

Ingredients:

1 kilo vermicelli
3 bunch of Spinach
3 large Carrots
4 large Celery
1 Onion
5 pcs dried Shiitake Mushroom
1 pck of white Mushroom
6 pcs cloves of Garlic
10 pcs leaves Onion
1 table spoon Soy sauce
1 tablespoon Sesame oil
1 teaspoon Sugar, Salt to taste
1 teaspoon black Pepper
1 teaspoon Sesame seed
1 tablespoon garlic powder

Reparations:

  1. Soak 10 dried shiitake mushroom in warm water for a few hour until they become soft, squeeze the water out of them and slice thinly
  2. Slice a white mushroom (2 cups) thinly
  3. Cut the carrots, and celery into thin matchstick shaped pieces 5 cm long.
  4. Cut 10 green onions leaves into 7 cm long pieces
  5. Slice 1 onion thinly, clean the spinach, and drain.
  6. Boil the water in large pot add 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon salt, and put the rice vermicelli in boiling water and cook for 6 to 8 minutes stirring occasionally till cook or soft, and remove from the pot and flush the rice vermicelli with cold water or tap water for i minute, drain and put in a large bowl.
  7. Cut the noodles several times by using scissors and add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and 1 tablespoon garlic powder. Mix it up and set aside.
  8. In the boiling water, put the clean spinach and stir it gently for 1 minute. Then take it out and rinse it in cold water, remove any dead leaves thoroughly while rinsing. Squeeze it gently to get the water out. then cut it into 5 cm pieces.
  9. Add 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce and 1/2 tablespoon sesame seed oil and mix it and place it onto the large bowl.
  10. In skillet over medium heat, add few drops of olive oils fry the carrots and stir it with a wood ladle for 30 seconds. Put it into large bowl
  11. Add few drops of olive oil on skillet, and add slice celery, stir it for few minutes, and put it into large bowl.
  12. add few drops of olive oil on the skillet and add the sliced onion, stir it until the onion looks translucent. Put it into large bowl together with the carrots, and celery.
  13. Add few drops of olive oil on the skillet and add the sliced white mushrooms, stir it for a bit and then put it in the large bowl.
  14. Add few drops of olive oil on the skillet and add sliced shiitake mushroom, stir until it's cooked well, then add 3 cloves of minced garlic, add 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce and 1/2 teaspoon sugar. Stir  for another 30 seconds and then put it into the large bowl.
  15. Put a few drops of olive oil on the skillet and add green onions, stir for 1 minute and put it into the large bowl.
  16. Add 2 tablespoon of soy sauce, 3 teaspoon of sugar, 2 teaspoon of sesame oil, and 1 teaspoon of ground pepper to the large bowl. Mix all ingredients, then sprinkle 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seed on the top.
Note: If you want to add some boneless chicken, and Shrimp it is optional, what I prepared is only all vegetables.
